Job Description

Position Summary Pollak Distributors is looking for a detail-oriented Quality and Inventory Control Specialist to oversee the integrity of our stock and the precision of our outbound shipments. This role is critical in bridging the gap between warehouse operations and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for ensuring that every item in our facility is accounted for, properly stored, and meets our rigorous quality standards before it reaches the customer.
Core Responsibilities Inventory Auditing:
Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure system accuracy versus physical stock.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect incoming shipments for damage or defects and verify that outgoing orders meet customer specifications.
Discrepancy Research:
Investigate "shortages" or "overages" to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Stock Optimization:
Monitor shelf life, expiration dates, and storage conditions to minimize waste and ensure product safety.
Reporting:
Generate weekly reports on inventory accuracy levels, shrinkage, and quality control fail rates.
Process Improvement:
Collaborate with management to refine receiving and picking procedures to reduce errors.
Required Skills & Qualifications Experience:
2-4 years of experience in inventory management, quality control, or warehouse operations.
Analytical Mindset:
Strong mathematical skills and the ability to interpret data to spot trends in inventory loss.
Technical Proficiency:
High level of comfort with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanners; intermediate Excel skills are required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to [Insert Weight, e.g., 50 lbs] as needed for inspections.
Certification:
