Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Inventory Control Specialist ensures inventory accuracy and product quality by performing daily cycle counts, bin audits, and inspections of incoming and returned goods. This role supports efficient warehouse operations through timely receiving, accurate put-away, and adherence to safety and cleanliness standards. By identifying and resolving discrepancies and following company procedures, the position helps maintain smooth inventory flow and high service quality across the facility.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean, organized work environment, prioritizing safety at all times Complete daily inventory cycle counts Perform bin location audits Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies Complete product quality inspections Inspect and receive in product from outside vendors Inspect and receive in product from customer returns Perform warehouse worker functions - load/unload trucks, pick/put-away inventory Maintain quality service by following the company-wide standards Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping bin locations, pallet area, and workstations neat and free of debris and trash Maintain clean shipping supply area Comply with company procedures, rules, and regulations
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 12 months cumulative experience in a Warehouse/Distribution environment preferred. Reach truck, forklift, or turret truck experience preferred Experience with RF Scanner and Warehouse Management Computer Software.
Skills:
Excellent computer skills and attention to detail. The ability to work independently and as part of the team. Excellent communications, organizational, planning, documentation, reporting and time management skills
Physical Requirements:
The ability to lift 50 lbs, and to stand, bend, stretch, sit and reach continuously throughout the shift.
