Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Technician works under general supervision and is responsible for receiving, stocking, picking, distributing, and delivering medical, surgical, and general supplies throughout the healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have healthcare, inventory, warehouse, or supply chain experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Stock and organize supplies in clean rooms, carts, and designated supply locations using proper inventory rotation practices. Scan inventory labels and generate replenishment orders for stock and non-stock items. Pick supplies from storage locations and distribute them throughout the facility. Restock Case Carts, Crash Carts, Procedural Carts, and other supply carts. Monitor inventory for expired products and remove items according to policy. Distribute oxygen tanks and other essential medical supplies. Deliver supplies and packages to nursing units, clinics, and various hospital departments. Respond to customer service requests via phone and email. Process inventory issues and credits within the Materials Management Information System (MMIS). Report inventory discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory records. Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Utilize handheld scanners, package scanners, and inventory management software. Maintain clean, organized, and safe supply storage areas. Assist with training and onboarding of Supply Chain staff. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
Healthcare inventory, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain experience preferred. Experience with inventory management systems preferred. Experience using handheld scanners and inventory tracking tools preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of healthcare supply chain operations. Experience with inventory control and materials management. Familiarity with MMIS or similar inventory management software. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies. Proficiency with computers and standard office equipment.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. No licenses or certifications required. Ability to work night shifts. Ability to lift, transport, and move supplies throughout the facility. #
