Job Description
Job Summary:
The Inventory & Material Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate records of all parts, supplies, and consumables within the organization while ensuring the non-production facilities are cleaned on a regular basis. This role ensures inventory levels are monitored, stock is organized, and discrepancies are resolved efficiently to support smooth operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Track, record, and manage inventory levels of non-chemical materials using inventory management systems
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders
- Organize and store parts/supplies in designated areas to maintain efficiency and safety
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Perform upkeep to maintain clean facilities including; All non-office bathrooms (shop, women, and old lab) Locker rooms (men and women's) Production break room General cleaning of shop Coordinate with purchasing and maintenance teams to replenish stock as needed Label, tag, and ensure proper documentation of all inventory items Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas Clean parts Always follow company policies and safety procedures Other responsibilities as outlined in SOPs or protocols or as determined by the
Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, or logistics preferred
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (as required)
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Working Conditions:
- May involve standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods
- Work may be performed in a warehouse or stockroom environment
- Flexible hours, including weekends or shifts, may be required
