Job Title:
Inventory Specialist Weekly pay and immediate interviews! Job Description The Inventory Specialist plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory levels of hardware, components, and finished goods used in ornamental handrail production. This position supports manufacturing operations by ensuring efficient inventory control, minimizing production delays, and helping maintain high-quality standards. The role operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Responsibilities Perform routine cycle counts and full physical inventory audits to verify stock accuracy. Investigate, document, and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely and thorough manner. Monitor inventory levels and promptly communicate material shortages or overstock concerns to leadership. Coordinate closely with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing. Ensure all inventory is properly labeled, stored, and organized in accordance with company standards and procedures. Return unused materials to inventory and restock them in the correct locations to maintain accurate counts. Maintain strict compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and use of required personal protective equipment. Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and workflow processes. Focus on accuracy and efficiency in inventory-related tasks, including order picking, order staging, and fulfilling stock requests. Perform data entry related to inventory transactions, shipping and receiving, and inventory adjustments. Handle shipping and receiving activities, ensuring materials are checked, recorded, and stored correctly. Manage warehouse inventory to support smooth manufacturing operations and minimize production delays. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of experience in inventory control, manufacturing, or warehouse operations preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing environment; metal fabrication or a similar industry is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills. Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in all inventory-related tasks. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with inventory management and inventory control practices. Experience performing cycle counts and working with warehouse inventory. Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing facility with regular exposure to machinery, tools, and varying temperatures. You will use required personal protective equipment and follow established safety procedures at all times. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional overtime as needed to meet production demands. The environment is hands-on and fast-paced, supporting metal fabrication and related manufacturing activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
