Inventory Technician
POSITION OVERVIEW
This is a hands-on, technical role that bridges the yard and the digital storefront. As the primary Listing Creator, you own the intake and documentation process on every unit the company brings in: capturing accurate measurements, documenting openings and connections, photographing equipment to brand standards, recording reference video for remote QC, and building complete, customer-ready listings in an internal app. Strong mechanical aptitude is essential, since you will be working around pressure vessels and need to understand what you are looking at. Training is provided on the company's equipment categories, nomenclature, and camera systems. Salary:

Our client is a premier provider of upstream oil and gas production equipment that operates a digital equipment marketplace. They buy, sell, lease, and refurbish critical surface equipment, including separators, heater treaters, and dehydration systems. This role is central to how every unit makes it from the yard to the online listing. RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct full intake on each unit, verify equipment against purchase documentation, attach company identification tags, and confirm specifications match what was ordered Take precise measurements of vessels and openings using tape, calipers, and field tools, documenting ID and OD, seam-to-seam length, wall thickness, and pressure ratings accurately Photograph equipment following the standard sequence: exterior angles, opening details, data plates, internal views, and damage documentation Record a 360 degree walkthrough video for the customer-facing listing and a separate reference video for remote Manager QC with clear verbal documentation of dimensions, openings, ratings, and condition Capture interior vessel photography using the Insta360 camera system through accessible openings (training provided) Build complete draft listings in the internal app, populating equipment-detail fields, opening tables, accessory checklists, and cost detail tabs Flag unknowns honestly and mark them for Manager review rather than guessing Receive incoming equipment, count against POs, record National Board and serial numbers, inspect for damage, and document discrepancies Operate a forklift to move equipment between receiving, cleaning, photography, and final yard placement using rated straps, rigging, and wheel chocks safely Power wash exteriors, openings, flange faces, and threads, and clean data plate areas gently to preserve markings Track time and expenses against the assigned work order so unit-level P&L stays accurate Move work through the project tracking system, keep stakeholders updated at each handoff, and respond to Manager QC feedback promptly REQUIREMENTS
Required:
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn pressure vessel terminology, connection types, and equipment configurations quickly Forklift operating experience (certification can be obtained on the job if not already held) Comfort with smartphone photography and video, including clear verbal narration on camera, and willingness to learn the Insta360 camera system Strong attention to detail and written communication Solid systems literacy across Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, OneDrive), web-based tools, and the ability to learn proprietary platforms Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in a yard environment in varied weather Authorization to work in the United States Willingness to travel between Northeast (Darlington, PA) and Southwest (Texas, Oklahoma) operations on a project basis, typically a few times per quarter Preferred:
Prior experience in oilfield, oil and gas, industrial equipment, or heavy equipment environments Familiarity with pressure vessels, separators, heater treaters, or related production equipment BENEFITS
