Inventory and Receiving Specialist

Position Summary:

The Warehouse & Retail Inventory Associate is responsible for receiving, unpacking, and organizing incoming merchandise, maintaining accurate stock levels, and supporting both warehouse and retail store operations. This role ensures products are properly stocked, accessible, and accounted for, while assisting with inventory control, returns processing, and overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive incoming shipments, inspect for accuracy, and verify contents against purchase orders or packing slips Unpack, label, and organize merchandise in designated warehouse and retail areas Stock shelves and maintain product displays in the retail store Downstock inventory from overhead or backstock locations to ensure sales floor availability Assist with regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock reconciliation Process returns, including inspecting items and restocking or routing as needed Identify, document, and report damaged or defective merchandise Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and stockroom areas Support order fulfillment, transfers, and general warehouse operations Collaborate with retail staff to ensure products are available and properly merchandised

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous warehouse, retail, or stockroom experience is a plus Ability to lift and move merchandise (typically up to 40-50 lbs) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment:

Combination of warehouse and retail store setting May require standing, bending, lifting, and use of ladders
