Job Description

Job Summary PTR Baler and Compactor (PTR), a division of Komar Industries, is a world leader in the waste equipment industry. The company manufactures and services balers, compactors, and provides parts and resources to customers. PTR is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team! The Inventory Control Specialist is entrusted with the diligent management and accuracy of organizational inventory records. This position is essential to ensure that inventory levels remain responsive to business demands while minimizing excess and obsolete stock. The specialist collaborates extensively with teams in procurement, warehousing, and production to coordinate inventory-related activities and resolve any discrepancies that may arise. Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels by conducting regular cycle counts and comprehensive audits to ensure absolute accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, liaising with relevant departments to identify and address underlying causes.
  • Enter and update inventory data within management systems, ensuring records are meticulously maintained and current at all times.
  • Prepare detailed inventory reports for management.
  • Maintain data integrity within the ERP system, ensuring all inventory records are accurate, current, and auditable.
  • Execute all receiving, inventory transactions, and material transfers within NetSuite to ensure accurate system alignment.
  • Maintain a Kan-Ban inventory level of manufactured items for the service warehouse.
  • Manage restocking of service assets (PPE, components, and parts) in alignment with Service and Operations needs.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels through min/max strategies and continuous validation of stock positions.
  • Oversee service fleet inventory programs, including truck stocking strategies based on regional demand and operational requirements.
  • Implement and sustain standardized location coding and inventory control processes.
  • Manage return processes, including RMA and vendor returns (VRMA), ensuring proper tracking and resolution.
  • Ensure accurate item identification, labeling, and location control to optimize warehouse organization and material flow.
Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related discipline is preferred. Significant prior experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics is highly advantageous. Demonstrated experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, NetSuite is strongly preferred. Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency with inventory management software and the Microsoft Office Suite are essential. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
