Austin, TX, US, 78753 Busch Vacuum Solutions is a leading manufacturer of vacuum pumps, compressors, and blowers for use in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, food processing, metallurgy, biomedical, and material handling. Busch Vacuum LLC has an immediate direct -hire opportunity open for an Inventory Control Specialist at our service center in Austin, Texas. The work hours are 6am to 3pm CST. The Inventory Control Specialist generates outbound advice and picking lists for multiple origins, coordinates delivery of picking lists to applicable departments, is responsible for inventory accuracy, cycle counts and reconciliation, and supports warehouse activities such as material handling, use of forklifts and possibly local pick up and delivery, as needed. Prior MRP experience is required, preferably SAP. Job Responsibilities Generate outbound advice and picking lists for sales, distribution, service, and manual transfers in a sequence that prioritizes allocations Review, manage and sort orders and picking list to distribute to warehouse personnel by type of shipment Coordinate with Customer Service to identify orders that need corrections or clarification Generate and process cycle counts and research and resolve discrepancies, generate cycle count recounts as necessary Investigate errors/issues for root cause determination Synchronize problem solving and maintain effective communication between departments Warehouse responsibilities to include coordination, along with shipping and receiving, material handling and doing local pick-up delivery, as needed Assist with implementing and maintaining 5S and Lean activities to improve flow and reduce waste Temporarily assumes the responsibilities of the Production Control Clerk as needed Required Experience 2+ years of inventory control or related experience:Required Computer Skills:
Proficient inMicrosoft Office, Excel:
Required o ERP/WMS experience required, SAP highly preferred Forklift experience or ability to get certified: Required Experience driving a box truck, or comfortable learning: Highly preferred High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required Associate's degree (two-year college or technical school): Preferred Personal Qualifications Must possess strong written and oral English communication skills Must possess a high degree of integrity, accountability, and dependability Must be detail oriented and have good decision-making ability Must possess good initiative and ability to coordinate activities across departments Job Requirements Ability and willingness to pass a 9-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check Must have a valid driver's license Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25lbs Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching outward and/or above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 50lbs All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
