Produce Ripening Specialist Requirements:

1-2 years of produce ripening or perishable goods experience Forklift experience and safe equipment operation skills Strong attention to detail and quality standards Inventory management and organizational skills Ability to multitask and prioritize changing workloads Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts

Produce Ripening Specialist Job Duties:

Manage the avocado ripening process and maintain proper color stages. Monitor ripening rooms and adjust schedules based on demand forecasts. Perform quality inspections, grading, and product evaluations. Track daily inventory and document inbound and outbound quality reports. Coordinate with buying and sales teams to ensure product availability. Supervise product loading, unloading, and receiving inspections. Report quality concerns and maintain compliance with SOPs.
