This position is located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Learn more about this agency This job is open to The public U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Duties Assist in daily monitoring of dispositions, receipt processing, turn-ins, researching, inventory control, location changes in storage, and shipping. Conduct monthly inventories on two high turnover hand receipts, ensuring all postings are accurate. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments and the capabilities of the employees. Develop performance plans and evaluates employees. Prepare documentation for property discrepancies identified during inventories. Manage data input across multiple authorized property accounting systems. Requirements Conditions of employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. A Personnel Security Investigation is required. One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption. Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. One year of specialized experience which includes conducting physical inventory; maintaining property accounts and/or records; utilizing an automated system to generate supply reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-6). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Inventory Management Manages and Organizes Information Manages Human Resources Additional information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
