Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory and Safety Specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee inventory control processes, ensure safety protocols are strictly followed, and optimize warehouse operations through data-driven insights. Your expertise in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, and materials handling will drive efficiency, accuracy, and safety across our facilities. Duties Manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP or AS400 to ensure stock accuracy and availability. Conduct root cause analysis to identify inventory discrepancies or safety issues, implementing corrective actions promptly. Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials efficiently, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and optimize sourcing strategies for cost savings. Utilize data analytics tools like Power BI and Tableau to visualize supply chain data, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and support demand planning efforts. Oversee warehouse safety protocols including materials handling procedures, forklift operations certification management, and compliance with OSHA standards. Coordinate shipping & receiving activities, including order fulfillment, logistics planning, and managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers for timely delivery. Perform regular process improvement initiatives by analyzing warehouse workflows, implementing best practices in inventory control, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or inventory control within a fast-paced environment. Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar data visualization tools; experience with data mining and analytics is highly desirable. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like SAP or AS400, and materials management software. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions for process improvements. Excellent negotiation skills for procurement activities and supplier management; experience in sourcing strategies is a plus. Valid forklift certification; experience with heavy lifting equipment is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to analyze complex data sets related to inventory levels, demand planning, and logistics performance.
