Maintenance & Inventory Control Coordinator MS Express, Inc - 1.0 Laredo, TX Job Details Full-time $17 - $19 an hour 5 days ago Qualifications Pre-trip inspection protocols Parts administration within automotive industry Fleet management DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Physical inventory counts for inventory management Full Job Description MS Express is seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Maintenance & Inventory Control Coordinator. This position is responsible for managing fleet maintenance records, inventory control, equipment accountability, and ensuring all company equipment is safe and ready for operation. Responsibilities
  • Maintain inventory records for all company equipment, including tires, parts, tarps, straps, chains, tools, and other fleet-related assets.
  • Create and manage digital and hard-copy inventory systems.
  • Track inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Implement and maintain equipment sign-out and return procedures.
  • Conduct routine inventory audits and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure parts availability.
  • Maintain maintenance records for tractors, trailers, and company equipment.
  • Monitor and verify that drivers complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) and ensure defects are addressed promptly.
  • Ensure all tractors and trailers are thoroughly inspected before departing on northbound trips.
  • Ensure all tractors and trailers are inspected upon return from northbound trips.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance for any equipment found to be unsafe or in need of service.
  • Maintain inspection, repair, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with DOT and company safety compliance requirements.
  • Organize and maintain shop, inventory containers, and storage areas.
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
