This position is responsible for managing fleet maintenance records, inventory control, equipment accountability, and ensuring all company equipment is safe and ready for operation. Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory records for all company equipment, including tires, parts, tarps, straps, chains, tools, and other fleet-related assets.
- Create and manage digital and hard-copy inventory systems.
- Track inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Implement and maintain equipment sign-out and return procedures.
- Conduct routine inventory audits and maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure parts availability.
- Maintain maintenance records for tractors, trailers, and company equipment.
- Monitor and verify that drivers complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) and ensure defects are addressed promptly.
- Ensure all tractors and trailers are thoroughly inspected before departing on northbound trips.
- Ensure all tractors and trailers are inspected upon return from northbound trips.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance for any equipment found to be unsafe or in need of service.
- Maintain inspection, repair, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with DOT and company safety compliance requirements.
- Organize and maintain shop, inventory containers, and storage areas.
