Job Description

The Spa by Sheena
  • Lubbock, TX
  • $19-$22 / hour
  • Full-time The Spa by Sheena is one of Lubbock's longest-running medical spa, founder-led since 2016.
We are a team focused on physician-supervised aesthetics, injectables, laser, HRT pellets, and medical skincare. We are hiring one person to own two responsibility centers at the spa: keeping the facility immaculate for clients, and keeping the spa fully supplied at all times. This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role. The person in this role is the reason a service provider never runs short of a fresh linen, a client never sees a fingerprint on a display shelf, a stockroom is never out of an ordered product, and a delivery is never sitting in the lobby. It is a high-trust position with real authority over how the spa is supplied and how it presents to every client who walks in.
What you will do:
Facility and hospitality: Keep every guest-facing area looking as if it has not yet been used — floors, bathrooms, lobby, quiet room, entryway, display shelves. Run the spa's laundry continuously through the shift: wash, dry, fold, distribute. Service providers never wait on clean linens. Reset every treatment room after each service: linens and treatment tables. Stock and refresh the quiet room hospitality station throughout the day — water, tea, mints, refresh as the room is used. Sweep the entryway and adjacent walkway, water the plants, and handle small tasks that keep the spa looking cared for. Step in to help a client complete a consent form when the team asks for help.
Inventory and supply:
Count inventory weekly in our software on a published cadence by vendor. Counts must be accurate and saved by 8:00 AM Tuesday. Place all non-inventory and inventoried non-retail orders through Henry Schein, Amazon, and Universal. Receive every incoming delivery, reconcile each one against the purchase order in Meevo, and stock back-of-house and retail displays. Run a biweekly local supply trip (Costco, Walmart, Walgreens, United) using your own vehicle. Mileage reimbursed per company policy. Handle the spa's daily mail and any outbound shipping required. Manage a per-order spending authority with no prior approval. Anything above that is approved by the Spa Director. Receive and handle cold-chain neurotoxin shipments under coordination with the medical team.
What we are looking for:
Proactive and detail-oriented. You see what needs to be done and act without prompting. Comfortable using Apple products, Excel, and vendor online ordering portals. Mathmadical accuracy matters. Calm, professional presence in front of clients. Composed under pressure. Strong written and spoken English. You will read consent forms, packing slips, vendor invoices, and team messages, and you will communicate clearly with vendors. Comfortable on your feet for a full shift, able to lift 25 lbs, and safe on a ladder for high stockroom shelves. Prior med spa, salon, or healthcare facility experience is a plus, not a requirement.
Schedule:
Monday:
10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Tuesday through
Friday:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Off Saturday and Sunday Full-time. The weekday shift starts one hour before the spa opens to handle morning setup before clients arrive. Pay and benefits $19-$22 per hour, depending on experience. Mileage reimbursement for the biweekly supply run. Weekends off. Hard requirements Twenty-one (21) years of age or older. Valid Texas driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle. No tobacco or vape use during shift hours, including breaks taken on spa property. No detectable odor of smoke at any time on shift. Background check required before start date. How to apply Apply through Indeed, or send a resume directly to danny@thespalubbock.com.
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Benefits:
Employee discount Application Question(s): Name 10 things you can do with a clean spa towel besides drying off.
Closing scenario:
You're closing the spa at 5:30 PM Friday. You see a note that a delivery is supposed to arrive Saturday morning at 10:00 AM — but you don't work Saturday. You sent the Spa Director a Teams message about it an hour ago and haven't heard back. You have to leave by 6:00. Walk me through what you do.
Coworker scenario:
You walk into the breakroom and two coworkers are complaining about a third coworker who isn't there. They notice you and try to pull you into the conversation. You happen to know something personal about the third coworker that would explain her behavior — but it isn't your information to share. What do you do, and what do you say?
