This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing the inventory of parts and maintenance supplies essential for our operations. The successful candidate will oversee inventory control, procurement, and supplier relationships to ensure the seamless availability of parts necessary for automotive repair, manufacturing, and equipment maintenance. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in supply chain management, warehouse operations, and manufacturing or industrial environments to contribute to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate inventory levels through diligent stock monitoring and data entry into inventory management systems such as CMMS or ERP platforms Coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing parts, negotiating pricing, and managing supplier relationships to secure quality supplies at competitive rates Oversee order management processes, ensuring timely fulfillment and delivery of parts via shipping & receiving procedures Ability to learn the identification of parts requirements for repairs and maintenance tasks Manage warehouse operations, including organization, shipping & receiving, and equipment repair logistics Implement demand planning strategies to anticipate inventory needs based on usage patterns and production schedules Assist in maintaining accurate records within ERP systems like AS400 or similar platforms for inventory control and procurement tracking Provide exceptional customer service by addressing internal requests efficiently and professionally Experience Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of experience in inventory management within manufacturing, or industrial settings. Prior exposure to parts inventory systems highly advantageous.
Essential skills include:
Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, including sourcing, demand planning, and logistics Proven experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as AS400 or equivalent, and order management systems Hands-on experience operating forklifts safely within warehouse environments Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair parts is preferred Demonstrated ability in procurement management, negotiation, and pricing strategies Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and inventory control processes Effective communication skills for collaborating with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams If you are a proactive professional with a passion for supply chain excellence and inventory accuracy, we encourage you to apply.
