Job Description

The Controller Associate is responsible for supporting asset management operations by ensuring accurate asset registration, monitoring, tracking, reconciliation, and disposal processes. This role plays a critical part in maintaining proper inventory control, asset accountability, and compliance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Asset Clarification & Registration
  • Maintain accurate records of company assets within internal systems and databases.
  • Verify and classify assets according to company policies and procedures.
  • Register newly acquired assets and ensure all required documentation is completed and maintained.
  • Assist with audits and validation of asset information to ensure data accuracy. Physical Control & Labeling
  • Perform physical verification and tracking of company assets.
  • Label and tag assets according to company standards and inventory procedures.
  • Ensure assets are properly identified, organized, and stored.
  • Conduct routine inspections to confirm asset condition and accountability. Monitoring & Reconciliations
  • Monitor asset inventory and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Perform regular reconciliations between physical inventory and system records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to inventory or asset tracking.
  • Support periodic inventory audits and reporting activities. Asset Movement & Updates
  • Track asset transfers, relocations, assignments, and status updates.
  • Maintain accurate documentation regarding asset movement across departments or locations.
  • Update asset records to reflect changes in ownership, condition, or location.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate asset tracking. Asset Disposal Management
  • Manage asset disposal processes including sales, scrap, retirement, and decommissioning activities.
  • Ensure disposal procedures comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain documentation related to disposed or retired assets.
  • Coordinate with vendors or internal departments for approved disposal activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, asset management, accounting support, or related fields.
  • Experience with inventory tracking systems and record management preferred.
Skills:
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout warehouse or office environments.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes or equipment as needed (up to 25-40 lbs.).
  • Frequent use of computers, scanners, and inventory tracking equipment.
  • Ability to perform physical inventory counts and inspections.
Pay:
From $62,100.00 per year
