Job Description

Job Overview Trinity Wiring Solutions is a growing provider of residential and commercial security, wiring, and technology integration services in the Mid Atlantic area. We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement & Inventory Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in managing vendor relationships, material purchasing, and inventory accuracy across all of our projects. This position works closely with the Accounting Manager and our warehouse team to ensure we are sourcing materials at the best possible pricing, maintaining accurate job-level cost margins, and tracking inventory from order through installation. Responsibilities Procurement & Vendor Management Solicit and compare bids from vendors to secure competitive pricing on materials and equipment Maintain and nurture relationships with existing vendors while identifying and vetting new suppliers Track pricing changes from vendors and proactively communicate cost impact to the team Research alternative or substitute equipment options to reduce costs without sacrificing quality Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms on both stock and job-specific purchases Ordering & Material Management Place and manage orders for both regularly stocked inventory items and job-specific materials Confirm delivery timelines and track order status to ensure materials arrive before scheduled installations Coordinate with the warehouse team on receiving, staging, and storing incoming materials Identify unused materials from completed jobs that can be reallocated to new projects, reducing unnecessary purchases Maintain accurate records of materials on hand, on order, and allocated to specific jobs Cost & Margin Accuracy Ensure material costs are accurately reflected at the job level to maintain target margins Partner with the Accounting Manager to reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and job cost reports Flag pricing discrepancies or margin concerns before and after material purchases Support accurate job costing by providing timely material cost data to project and accounting teams Collaboration & Reporting Work directly under the Accounting Manager with daily coordination on purchasing activity Collaborate closely with the warehouse team on inventory levels, stock replenishment, and material logistics Maintain organized procurement records including vendor quotes, purchase orders, and delivery confirmations Provide regular reporting on purchasing activity, pricing trends, and inventory status Requirements Required 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a closely related role Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open orders simultaneously Experience negotiating pricing and terms with vendors or suppliers Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools for tracking orders, pricing, and inventory Excellent communication skills for coordinating across internal teams and external vendors Ability to work independently and take ownership of the procurement process from request to delivery Preferred Experience in a field service, construction, electrical, security, or technology integration industry Familiarity with job costing concepts and how material costs impact project margins Experience working with an ERP, field service management, or procurement platform (Salesforce experience a plus) Knowledge of low-voltage wiring, security systems, or A/V equipment is a bonus but not required.
Pay:
$47,000.00 - $49,000.00 per year
