- Maintain the master equipment account for all non expendable and sensitive items.
- Verify equipment identity and components by contacting responsible employees when needed.
- Record all property transactions including purchases, transfers, and disposals.
- Review inventory reports, investigate discrepancies, and prepare required authority.
- Maintain the property loss register and prepare appointment orders for investigations.
- Guide investigating officers and ensure individuals have the opportunity to respond or appeal.
- Notify individuals of liability and initiate collection procedures when required.
- Assist with on site property surveys to verify location, use, and security of items.
- Train employees on property responsibilities and procedures.
- Interpret supply regulations and provide guidance on accountability, requisitioning,
- Prepare purchase requests and manage capital equipment requirements.
- Maintain the purchase document register for local purchases up to twenty five thousand dollars.

One year of specialized experience which includes tracking and updating equipment records, verifying inventory data within a medical facility, assisting with reports on lost or damaged items, and applying guidelines to resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, train staff and providing basic support on equipment management procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).OR Education:
One full academic year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration, Management, or Supply Chain Management. (Note:

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18.
