Job Description

About Freefly Freefly Systems builds professional-grade drones and power products such as Astro, Alta X, SL8 smart batteries, and the Pilot Pro controller. We need a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist who can manage our inventory systems, ensure accurate tracking, and solve complex logistical challenges to help us build the World's Toughest Drones. Inventory Specialist As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels to support production and general operations. Your primary focus will be on overseeing inventory control, ensuring timely and accurate tracking, and maintaining an organized inventory system to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and maintain the company's inventory system, ensuring accurate receiving, storage, and distribution of materials. Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy. Update and maintain inventory records in tracking systems, including spreadsheets, ERP modules, and external data sources. Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing and project needs. Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations, optimizing inventory to support operational efficiency. Process vendor returns and coordinate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies in shipments. Package and prepare materials for shipping, ensuring compliance with best practices to maintain product integrity during transit. Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely to move and organize inventory as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inventory storage area, adhering to good housekeeping standards. Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency. Support all shipping and receiving activities.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate. 1+ year(s) of experience in an inventory management or inventory control role.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Proficiency with ERP systems for inventory management. Experience with inventory tracking software and tools. Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Forklift operation experience or certification. Knowledge of shipping processes, including domestic and international freight. Understanding of HAZMAT shipping regulations. Quality control or auditing experience in an inventory setting. Strong organizational and analytical skills for inventory reconciliation.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to lift 25-30 lbs., with regular lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying. Strong reading comprehension, multitasking, critical thinking, and coordination skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in inventory tracking and reporting.
Compensation:
$20 - $26hr, depending on experience. Full Health, Vision, and Dental for the employee. PTO and Paid Holidays.
Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
