Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Production Testing Specialist

The primary purpose of this position is to provide pre-shipping inspection, acceptance testing, and certification of Uninterruptible Power Supplies and their key components.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations
• Coordinate scope of work with engineering, production, and warehouse teams
• Conduct testing of UPS units as required by build/order specifications
• Ensure system hardware and software updates are performed as applicable
• Document testing operations and parameters
• Maintain testing records, service logs, and reports Other duties as required:
• Inspect packaging for damage
• Remove unit and components from packaging and prepare unit for testing
• Connect power cables to testing units as designated by equipment requirements
• Builds and maintains operations proficiency with the following test instruments: o Digital Multimeter o Power Quality Analyzer o Network Provisioning Equipment o Battery Test Equipment o Other Test Equipment as Assigned
• Performs other "needs of the business" duties as assigned Supervisory Controls
• Work is performed under the general supervision of the Production Manager
• Assignments are received and coordinated by due dates and required ship dates
• Other required testing parameters are expressed in the production schedule
• Completed work requires review, once testing has been completed

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
• Comfortable working in technical environments, such as near High-Voltage equipment and high noise equipment (diesel generator)
• Physical ability to lift 75 lbs., work from ladders, perform tasks in varied conditions including standing for the duration of the work shift
• Proficiency in English (reading, speaking, understanding, writing) is required

$45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
