Job Description
Black Gold Transport is a family-run business with a stellar safety record, proudly providing ore transport services for the Manh Choh project. We value and reward skills, experience, and a commitment to safety above all else. We offer competitive compensation and premium benefits. We are seeking a Laborer to join our team in Tok, Alaska. This position is based on the Manh Choh Mine Site. Responsibilities Perform general physical labor, maintenance, and janitorial tasks indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions. Ensure grounds and facilities are clean and clear of debris including mud, dirt, snow, leaves, rocks, etc. Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools Ensure that work areas are clean and organized and that equipment is properly maintained Complete special projects as needed Prioritize safety at all times, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed Other job duties as assigned Required Skills and Abilities The ability to work safely at a fast pace and under pressure to maintain flow of business Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy items Frequent walking, standing, stretching, bending, squatting, and reaching The ability to work indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions The ability to lift 50 pounds The ability to work independently and as a team The ability to follow verbal and written directions Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred Basic knowledge and general awareness of safety in a working environment Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
