Job Description
Job Summary The Wash Bay Attendant is responsible for cleaning, detailing, fueling, and maintaining rental equipment to ensure it is customer-ready and presented in a safe, professional condition. This position also assists with equipment inventory management, yard organization, and general housekeeping duties to support daily rental operations. Key Responsibilities Wash, clean, and detail rental equipment, including construction and industrial machinery. Inspect equipment for cleanliness, damage, leaks, missing parts, and safety concerns. Check and maintain fuel levels on equipment before and after rentals. Assist with equipment check-in and check-out procedures. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with tracking equipment locations. Organize and maintain the rental yard, wash bay, and storage areas. Move and position equipment within the yard as directed. Ensure equipment is properly staged and ready for customer pickup or delivery. Perform routine housekeeping duties, including sweeping, pressure washing, and debris removal. Report maintenance needs, equipment damage, or safety issues to management. Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in equipment rental, construction, automotive detailing, or a related field is a plus. Ability to operate pressure washers and cleaning equipment safely. Basic mechanical knowledge preferred. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks. Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment. Work Environment This position requires working outdoors around heavy equipment, machinery, and vehicles. Employees must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working in various weather conditions throughout the year.
