This role involves operating various types of commercial vehicles, assisting with loading and unloading, and supporting delivery or transportation tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication abilities to ensure efficient and safe operations across multiple transportation assignments. Responsibilities Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including box trucks, and other heavy equipment as required. Assist with loading and unloading cargo using pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual handling techniques. Deliver goods to designated locations while adhering to routes and schedules. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during transit. Support in maneuvering heavy equipment or freight as needed, including heavy haul or heavy equipment operation. Maintain accurate documentation related to deliveries, vehicle logs, and safety reports. Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations during operations. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, shuttle driving, route driving, or delivery driver roles. Familiarity with various commercial vehicles such as box trucks, tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, tanker trucks, and school buses. Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance checks. Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using pallet jacks or forklifts; experience with warehouse operations is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients. Experience operating manual transmissions and heavy equipment such as forklifts or tow trucks is advantageous. Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy haul, freight transport, or military vehicle operation is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various environments including warehouse settings or on the road.
