Responsibilities Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles such as box trucks, equipment trucks to transport freight efficiently across designated routes. Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure mechanical soundness and compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery schedules to ensure timely arrivals and departures. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments. Support warehouse operations by moving freight within storage facilities using appropriate equipment like forklifts or hand trucks. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation including manual transmission driving and heavy haul procedures. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial box truck driver and helper. Knowledge of mechanical systems and basic vehicle maintenance for troubleshooting minor issues. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Familiarity with various vehicles and heavy equipment operation. Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or pallet jacks; warehouse experience is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and customers. Physical ability to lift heavy objects regularly and stand or walk for extended periods during shifts.
