Overview Join our dynamic team as a Driver Helper and be an essential part of delivering exceptional service to our customers! In this energetic role, you will assist our drivers in safely loading, unloading, and delivering packages while providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities Assist the driver with loading and unloading packages from box trucks and delivery vehicles using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary. Support route driving by helping to organize deliveries and ensuring timely completion of scheduled routes. Load and unload items carefully, ensuring heavy lifting is performed safely to prevent injury. Help maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests and delivery logs. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with recipients during deliveries, answering questions, and addressing concerns politely. Collaborate with the driver to ensure all deliveries are completed efficiently and accurately. Follow all safety protocols related to driving, lifting, and moving cargo, including proper use of manual transmission vehicles if applicable. Qualifications Prior experience in delivery driving or courier roles is preferred, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly throughout the shift. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and safety standards for heavy lifting and moving. Knowledge of a cargo vehicle is advantageous but not required; training will be provided if needed.
