Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated Operator/Laborer to join our team at golf course. This role is vital in maintaining the course's aesthetic appeal and ensuring optimal play conditions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, landscape maintenance, and providing an exceptional experience for our guests. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in horticulture, landscaping, and equipment operation within a dynamic environment. Duties Operate and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of greens, fairways, and landscaping areas Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and planting to uphold the course's visual standards Use hand tools and power tools for routine maintenance tasks such as aerating, fertilizing, and repairing course features Assist with general gardening activities to promote healthy turf and plant growth Maintain equipment including cleaning, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to ensure operational efficiency Support land management activities such as soil preparation, seeding, and fertilization Conduct routine inspections of the course grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair Collaborate with team members to execute landscaping projects and special course enhancements Experience Prior experience with irrigation systems, landscape maintenance, or lawn care is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Familiarity with gardening, horticulture practices, or landscaping techniques is advantageous Experience operating hand tools and power tools used in outdoor maintenance tasks is beneficial Knowledge of land management or golf course maintenance practices is a plus Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks is essential A strong work ethic with attention to detail and a commitment to quality are highly valued This position is ideal for individuals passionate about outdoor work, landscaping, and maintaining beautiful recreational spaces.
