Laborer

A Laborer is responsible for ensuring that the site is maintained, clean, and in good order. Reports ToOperations SupervisorHelp the leadership team with a variety of tasks that support the efficient functioning of the operationKeep work area and all surrounding areas cleanReport all unsafe work conditions or equipment issues immediately to supervisorMay be responsible to attend to the outside perimeter of the facility, performing various clean up tasksAttend and participate in safety meetingsWear required personal protective equipment at all timesMay perform janitorial duties, as requestedPerform other job duties as assignedHigh school diploma preferredPhysical Demands / Environmental FactorsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hearRequires working in dusty and noisy indoor and outdoor conditionsMust frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; more than 50 pounds requires asking for a "team lift"Requires working in a physical environment that will expose employee to extreme weather conditionsRequires working for long periods of time while standing; may also frequently bend, squat or go up and down stairs or walk along platformsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusWill work around heavy equipment that may move in and out of the area; must have awareness of the surrounding heavy industrial environment
