Nonferrous Laborer

Job Description Summary/objective The Non-Ferrous Laborer is responsible for supporting the Non-Ferrous Sorter in sorting and processing non-ferrous materials, including aluminum, copper, brass, and stainless steel. Assist the NonFerrous Sorter in sorting and processing nonferrous materials. Prepare materials for sale by segregating and cleaning Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking the movement of materials Foster positive relationships with customers and vendors to encourage repeat business and maintain a positive reputation in the industry Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations Maintain a safe and clean work environment Perform other duties as assigned by management Competencies Ability to work in a physically demanding environment that involves standing and walking for extended periods Great communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Proficiency in basic math skills and computer skills Ability to follow safety guidelines and regulations Physical demands Ability to stand, walk, climb, crouch, and kneel for extended periods of time.
