Delivery Driver Job Description Box Truck Truck Delivery Drivers
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver customer orders to stores Check and verify load against invoices via scanning device Manually count and verify cigarette cartons. Scan product utilizing scanning technology. Unload product utilizing pull out ramp. Unload cooler and freezer products and totes thru stairs. Pick up return items. Secure empty pallets and totes in the truck. Maintain the cleanliness of your truck. Collection of funds possible Drives truck to destination in a safe and efficient manner. Adheres to all state and federal D.O.T. rules and regulations. Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Completes post/pre-trip inspections daily.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Cheerful and helpful attitude towards customers Work independently Good communication and people skills Good personal organizational skills Basic reading, writing, and math skills Dependable Good attendance/punctual is a must Able to work Tuesday through Friday Willing to work long hours Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test Trustworthy - Sometimes you will be collecting cash payments Ability to lift over 75lbs This is a very physically demanding job Ability to pass the exam for the medical certificate Must be willing and able to work overtime when asked
Working Conditions:
Physical ability to load, unload and maneuver loaded hand trucks/carts over a variety of inclines and surfaces. Exposure to a variety of environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme heat and cold, rain, snow, and wind.
