• Position Overview
• The
• CLS Nursery Equipment Operator and Laborer
• is responsible for loading, delivering, and maintaining nursery merchandise, grounds, and fields using equipment including, but not limited to, loaders, bobcats, and forklifts. This is a seasonal position, depending on the regional location.
• Job Duties
• Operate, maintain, and properly use landscape equipment.
• Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, and water plants, shrubs, and trees.
• Deliver trees, shrubs, plants, flowers, and bulk materials to customers.
• Clean work areas and maintain grounds.
• Perform proper pruning and prepare trees for pickup.
• Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems.
• Harvest, transplant, pot, and label plants.
• Apply chemical solutions to protect plants and enhance growth.
• Qualifications
• Must be at least 18 years old to work in the field.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to be a Department of Transportation (DOT) certified driver for specific vehicles or equipment.
• Ability to complete required safety courses upon hire.
• Ability to complete Davey Career Development Program (CDP) books.
• Valid driver's license may be required for some positions.
• DOT medical card, or ability to obtain one to be a Davey Qualified Driver for some positions.

• Competitive wages based on experience, $17.00 per hour to $20.00 per hour.
