In this role, you will assist experienced delivery drivers in safely loading, unloading, and delivering goods to customers. Your enthusiasm and commitment to excellent customer service will help ensure timely deliveries and positive customer experiences. This position offers an engaging environment where teamwork, safety, and efficiency are at the forefront of everything we do. You will be required to start early in the morning as most of our drivers depart the warehouse between 4:30am and 5:30am. Responsibilities Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading goods using equipment such as pallet jacks, U-boats and hand dolly's when necessary. Help deliver products to accounts ensuring proper handling and safety during transport. Support route driving by helping to organize deliveries efficiently and accurately. Ensure heavy lifting is performed safely, following all safety protocols to prevent injuries. Maintain clear communication with drivers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or customer requests. Load and unload trucks using manual techniques or equipment like pallet jacks, ensuring items are secure for transit. Follow all safety guidelines during loading, unloading, and delivery processes to promote a safe working environment. Experience Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics is preferred but not required. Familiarity with commercial driving, especially operating box trucks or similar vehicles, is a plus. Prior delivery driver experience is advantageous; however, training will be provided for the right candidate. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently. Experience with equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is beneficial but not mandatory. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
