Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Manual Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will be an essential part of various projects, performing physically demanding tasks that support the successful completion of railcar repair, rebuilding, and restoration efforts. Your hands-on skills and proactive attitude will help ensure safety, efficiency, and high-quality results. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in multiple trades while contributing to impactful building projects. Responsibilities Assist with general tasks including material handling, site cleanup, and equipment setup to maintain a safe and organized work environment Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively to support various railcar repair activities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, measuring instruments, and repair records to assist with installation and fabrication tasks Assist with sandblasting and painting tasks as needed. Conduct basic inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements Assist with other industry tasks as needed. Requirements
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG SCREENING
Prior experience working on railcar repair sites or in related manual labor roles is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and heavy equipment safely Familiarity with safety protocols and OSHA regulations Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods Basic understanding of trades such as welding and equipment maintenance a plus Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task completion. Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
