Laborer/Drum Handler

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced person to join our warehouse team. As a laborer, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling and moving drums within the warehouse. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the operation of various equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Safely load, unload, and move materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
• Verify and inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and quality
• Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas
• Pick orders accurately and efficiently using order pickers or RF scanners
• Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisor and team members to meet production goals
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including OSHA regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:

• Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role
• Proficient in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking and inventory management
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to [insert weight limit] pounds
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills to maintain inventory accuracy
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking
