COMPANY OVERVIEW
We are a growing engineering and industrial control panel assembly company in Cincinnati seeking an shop laborer for our panel assembly shop. Our company specializes in engineering, control system integration, PLC and HMI programming, process/machine upgrades and improvements, and custom industrial (UL508a) control panel design and assembly.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We have an immediate opening for part-time/Summer shop laborer for first shift. The ideal candidates enjoy challenging work and is motivated and a self starter. Individuals will assist in the assembly of control panels by unboxing materials, drilling and cutting metal, screwing and fastening components, and packaging materials for shipment. This position is great for high school or college students looking for hands on experience in the Electrical field. Applicants must be at least 17 years old.
Job Requirements:
Accurately and efficiently perform drilling and cutting tasks per drawings. Able to work safely, efficiently and with proper use all hand and power tools to complete assigned projects, including drills, punches, saws, and other tools as required. Work in a precise and well organized manner. Quality is of the utmost importance in all work that we do! Keep work station, including hand tools and equipment, in a neat and clean manner. Able to independently move components weighing up to 50 lbs between inventory shelves and control panels in assembly, and team lift heavier items.
Additional Skills:
Ability to learn to read and interpret electrical schematics and panel layout drawings. Be a quick learner. Organized and detail oriented. Performs work to precise standards. Strong communication skills, both verbally and written. Able to communicate with panel assemblers, electricians, and engineering staff for project clarifications, and drawing changes. Ability to identify common industrial electrical components.
Experience:
Prior experience working with hand tools and power tools is a plus. Electrical experience is a plus, but not required.
