Job Duties:

Workers at Skill Level 2 operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store vegetables, including attaching implements like plows and discs, driving tractors, and performing routine lubrication and repairs. Their duties include planting, weeding by hand or hoe, laying plastic, setting plants, staking, field grading and sorting, and packing vegetables in boxes, buckets, or crates. When primary fieldwork is not possible due to weather or crop conditions, they may perform general farm maintenance such as preparing barns, draining fields, repairing fences, maintaining tools and equipment, and preparing land for planting. Workers must be prepared for long days—sometimes up to ten hours—and occasional work on holidays or in varying weather conditions, including rain, dew, and temperatures from 10°F to over 100°F. The job requires physical stamina for standing, bending, and stooping, careful equipment use, the ability to lift 75 pounds, and at least three months of verifiable experience in fruit and vegetable production.

Housing:

The employer retains possession and control of the housing premises at all times. Workers provided housing under the terms of this Clearance Order shall vacate the housing promptly upon termination of employment with the employer.

Transportation:

Employer offers transportation at no cost to workers occupying Employer-provided housing to the worksite and return on a daily basis using any combination of van, truck and car depending on crop conditions and locations. Such transportation will be in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
