Full Job Description Job Description:
We're looking for dependable, hard-working individuals to join our Production team as a Utility Operator at our Hatfield, PA facility. This role supports plant operations by maintaining clean, organized work areas, assisting with material handling, and ensuring waste and recycling processes are handled safely and efficiently. You'll work alongside experienced team members in a collaborative environment where your efforts help keep production running smoothly. What You'll Do Break down drums and materials across various work areas by safely separating materials for processing or disposal Change and replace drums or gaylords to ensure containers are swapped efficiently and production operations continue without interruption Collect and transport plant waste to designated disposal areas Load and manage recyclable materials to ensure proper segregation and disposal Unload and stage pallets and gaylords to assist with receiving and material staging Inspect skids and pallets to determine whether they can be reused or require disposal Safely dispose of wastewater in designated areas following environmental procedures Maintain plant cleanliness through sweeping, dusting, and general housekeeping to support 5S standards Empty dust collectors and ventilator units and prepare waste for proper disposal Fill oil containers for operators and distribute materials needed to support production activities What We're Looking For We are looking for dependable individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be successful if you have: Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to follow instructions and complete routine tasks reliably Willingness to perform physically demanding work Strong teamwork and communication skills Basic math skills for measuring and verifying materials Ability to stay organized and maintain clean work areas Education & Experience No formal education or prior experience required. Training is provided. Physical & Work Environment Requirements This is a physically demanding role performed in a manufacturing environment.
The position requires:
Work in an industrial setting with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and moving machinery Standing for most of an 8-hour shift with frequent walking, reaching, and handling materials Occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching, or balancing Regular lifting up to 50 lbs. and frequent lifting up to 100 lbs. Routine use of hand tools, cleaning equipment, and material handling equipment Strict adherence to PPE and safety procedures Why Join Penn Color?
