MPMA is a small government entity located in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania. The minimal qualifications are a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, limited computer knowledge, and ability to work at a modern wastewater facility. The ideal candidate has flexibility working shifts at various times including weekends and Holidays. The candidate should also be prepared to work in changing weather conditions. Compensation will be determined by skills and accomplishments. Excellent benefits package is included with this full-time position. The prospective hire will be responsible for various activities in support of the wastewater treatment collection system, wastewater treatment plant, spray irrigation system, and the industrial wastewater pretreatment plant operations. Duties will include, but are not limited to, grounds maintenance, cleaning building spaces, painting, maintaining equipment, record keeping, laboratory assisting or testing, and general plant activities. Ability to operate small equipment and/or hand tools is a plus. The ideal candidate should possess a willingness to learn with effective verbal and written communication skills. There will be expectations of job performance.
