Job Description
Beaufort Metal Recycling is looking for a highly-motivated, detail-oriented worker for our scrap metal recycling yard in Beaufort, SC. The ideal candidate has the ability to lift heavy material, can learn new skills quickly, and is willing to train and grow with the company.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure efficient and timely movement of materials and products.
- Provide a friendly customer service environment.
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding secondary metals recycling.
- Perform materials handling activities, including loading and unloading of trucks.
- Operate yard equipment/forklift to help unload customers and weigh up material.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in the scrap metal industry preferred.
- Experience operating a forklift preferred. Yard hours are Monday
- Friday 9am-430pm and Saturday 9am-12:30pm.
