Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Operations Laborer for join our client's team located in Piedmont, SC. This position is responsible for plant care, nursery maintenance, loading and unloading materials, and supporting daily yard operations. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while working closely with customers, crews, sales staff, and branch management to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities Receive, unload, count, position, and maintain plants and associated materials within the sales yard. Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers in the yard and building positive relationships with foremen and crews. Communicate professionally with team members using radio communication systems. Select, pull, and stage customer orders as directed by branch management and sales staff. Perform plant care duties including spacing, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, watering, and other maintenance activities to ensure plant health. Load and unload sales orders for customer delivery and pick-up. Maintain accurate inventory counts, paperwork, and material audits during loading and unloading processes. Follow and promote safe work practices and procedures at all times. Assist with general yard maintenance and perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a nursery, landscaping, garden center, warehouse, or outdoor labor environment is a plus. Strong customer service and communication skills. Basic knowledge of plant care and maintenance is a plus. Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately handle inventory and paperwork. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry materials throughout the workday. Ability to operate equipment and perform physically demanding tasks.
