We have a small crew, but we must seek out motivated, professional, flexible and knowledgeable employees to not only maintain our current volume of work but continue to grow as a dominant name in the industry. We mainly work within the residential market but have worked on commercial projects as well. We would prefer to hire someone with much experience in this industry but are not opposed to some minor levels of training. For laborers, we want to give opportunities to learn to operate equipment. It is extremely valuable to us to have team members who can do the work on the ground, as well as those who are willing to learn when opportunities present themselves. Traits we look for in team members: Honesty Dependable Professionalism Flexibility Respect Loyalty Family-Oriented Humility Motivated Goal driven Team player Job responsibilities: Maintain equipment (Daily fluid checks before operation, change filters/oil when needed, etc.) Basic machine repair (change hoses, replacing broken parts) Labor (footing labor, shooting grade, laying pipe, setting drainage structures) Erosion control (seed, spread straw bales, law straw mat, install silt fence) Work time is normally 8:00-4:00 or 7:30-5:30 for overtime when needed Below is a condensed list of services we provide, you can figure some more specific skills that is required to do this work.

While we work hard to maintain a good working experience for our team members, we must be honest and disclose some of the challenges we face in our work: Drive time: You will be required to have dependable transportation for this job. We traditionally work within a 50-mile radius of Lenoir City, but on rare occasions farther away.

Weather related:

As with all outdoor trade jobs, weather is a major factor in our work. It is not uncommon that you will lose hours due to precipitation. However, we will generally give opportunities to compensate for lost hours, whether it be overtime on projects, machine repair/maintenance, etc.

Scheduling:

Due to weather, unforeseen circumstances, or customer change orders, we have difficulties issuing a concrete work schedule. Flexibility and end of day check-ins with management is paramount to ensure efficiency day to day.

Flexibility:

As mentioned previously, flexibility is absolutely necessary. While the job description is for "equipment operator", you will need to be ready to help in a multitude of ways. While there are some challenges we contend with, we strive for developing relationships with our team and truly treating them as family. We are a very small business and not able to offer benefits or paid time off, but we are a company that treats our employees well and with respect. We will work with you, if you work with us. We have 4 employees currently, 3 of which have been with us for 5+ years and the 4th has been with us for 3 years. We are not a good fit for everyone, but we would love to welcome another long-term addition to our team.
