Landfill Laborer Ferris, TX 75125

Job Description:

We are seeking dependable individuals to work at their Ferris, TX 75125 location. This role involves performing general labor and site maintenance tasks. Work is primarily outdoors, so applicants must be prepared to work in varying weather conditions.

Shift:

1st Shift — Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. - Until Finished Job Responsibilities Include but

PPE Required:

6-inch steel-toed boots, high-visibility vest, gloves, and eye protection. Picking up wind-blown litter and maintaining site cleanliness. Shoveling and general cleanup as needed. Performing general manual labor tasks including, but not limited to: Lifting and moving materials. Loading and unloading vehicles. Digging and refilling holes. Mowing grass, trimming, and operating basic equipment. Working outdoors for extended periods — approximately 95% of the shift. Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Requirements:

Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for the entire shift. Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to handle physical labor, including lifting up to 30 pounds. Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (e.g., equipment operation) occasionally. Occasionally exposed to occupational risks such as cuts, burns, or chemicals. High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required. 0-4 years of previous general labor experience preferred.

Work Environment:

Manual labor position requiring consistent physical activity. Regular exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes. Must be able to follow all site safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
