General Shop Hand

Job Summary Helping out with various tasks around the shop, and assisting welders/mechanics with tasks they need an extra hand with. Candidate will have a broad range of things to do and help with and attention to detail is very important. Responsibilities Operating tools such as grinders, chop saws, drills, impact wrenches, hand tools and cutting torches. Tending to farm animals and lawn care during the spring/summer. Assist with the assembly and disassembly of products using hand tools and power tools. Operate forklifts safely to move materials and components around the factory floor or warehouse area. Support the setup and organization of workstations. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and workspaces to uphold safety standards. Property landscape upkeep (mowing, weed eating, maintaining flower beds and driveways) Handle warehouse tasks such as receiving, storing, and sorting parts and materials. Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations, including the use of personal protective equipment. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets while maintaining a safe working environment. Skills Experience working with power tools such as drills, impact wrenches and grinders, safely in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team. Ability to show up on time and be a reliable employee. Good physical stamina for lifting, standing, walking, and performing manual tasks throughout shifts. This role is ideal for individuals eager to grow their skills in manufacturing while contributing to a team environment. Candidate must have reliable means of transportation.
