In this energetic role, you will handle the loading, unloading, and movement of non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and zinc. Your efforts will ensure efficient material flow, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and support our manufacturing processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment and contribute to sustainable recycling initiatives while developing valuable skills in heavy equipment operation and industrial sanitation. Duties Operate loaders, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to move non-ferrous metals. Load and unload metals from trucks, containers, or storage areas with precision and care. Assist in the sorting, cleaning, and preparation of metals for processing or shipment. Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing sanitation duties such as sweeping, debris removal, and waste disposal. Support the transportation of materials using garbage trucks or sanitation vehicles when necessary. Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs. Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents during heavy lifting or equipment operation. Requirements Proven experience in heavy equipment operation such as loaders, forklifts, or similar machinery. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift. Prior experience working in manufacturing environments or recycling facilities is preferred. Knowledge of safety procedures related to operating heavy machinery and handling materials. Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform manual tasks for extended periods. Valid certification for forklift operation or other relevant heavy equipment is advantageous but not mandatory; training may be provided.
