Lifting material, Sorting, Standing, Walking, Power Tools, working outside in ALL weather conditions is an everyday duty. PDQ Recycling is seeking a highly motivated dependable Laborer. As a Laborer you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, purchasing, cleaning, and preparing various types of non-ferrous scrap metal. Your primary goal will be to identify valuable metal materials while adhering to recycling regulations. Responsibilities- Identify various grades of non-ferrous scrap metal material
- Preforms general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, moving, lifting, cleaning, sorting for up to 12 hours a day
- Greet customers and assist with material verification and sorting
- Evaluate the quality and quantity of scrap metal materials to determine their value
- Safely and accurately store materials
- Clean, cut, sort various non-ferrous materials for shipping
- Ongoing preventative maintenance cleaning of warehouse facility
- Operate a forklift safely and accurately
- Collaborate with the recycling team to optimize processes and contribute to the overall success of the recycling operation Requirements
- Must be dependable
- Ability to work 6 days a week and overtime
- Ability to stand, lift, bend, kneel, twist, for duration of an 11 to 12 hour shift
- Not afraid to work hard and get dirty
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- 1-year previous general manual labor preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Willingness to learn and follow operational procedures

- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in an industrial, fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Full-time with Overtime. Monday - Friday 6 AM to 5:45 PM, Saturday 6 AM to 4:30 PM
