Public Works Laborer

Position Overview:
The City of Escobares is seeking a motivated Public Works Laborer to assist with maintenance, repair, and general labor tasks throughout the city. This position supports essential city operations and helps maintain public facilities, streets, and infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repair work Assist with upkeep of city streets, parks, and public facilities Operate basic tools and equipment Support Public Works staff with daily tasks Follow safety procedures and guidelines Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Minimum Qualifications:
No minimum education requirements. Valid Texas Driver's License Ability to pass a background check as required by the City of Escobares. Some experience in custodial work, maintenance, or groundskeeping. Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lbs. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean, safe facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in municipal, school, or commercial facilities preferred. Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
