Job Description

This is a temporary position. The 2026 Southwest Washington Fair takes place August 11-16. In addition to the dates of the fair applicants must be available on July 15th, 2026, for a hiring event, as well as August 10th, 2026, for a training shift. Shift hours and availability may fluctuate based on business need leading up to, during and after the Fair. Under limited supervision, assists in preparing and maintaining the grounds prior to and during the operation of the Southwest Washington Fair. Tasks include but are not limited to: Providing janitorial services Restroom maintenance Refuse collection Barn clean-up General maintenance tasks Assisting fair patrons as needed Work is performed in and around Lewis County Fairground facilities and involves exposure to dust, dirt, hazardous materials, bloodborne pathogens, and cleaning chemicals; subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, performing manual labor, operating equipment, and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds. Must be 16 years of age or older Ability to speak and write in the English language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior fair experience Ability to: Work cooperatively with others. Work without supervision for periods of time. Maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
