Transportation Safety Coordinator

This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on operational excellence and regulatory compliance. Duties Administer driver recruiting department. Manage compliance of driver qualification files, medical, drug testing, etc. Conduct regular safety audits of fleet management operations, including vehicle inspections, driver compliance, and risk assessments. Monitor logistics activities to ensure adherence to regulatory reporting requirements and compliance management protocols. Coordinate safety training sessions for drivers, shop staff, and logistics personnel to promote best practices in freight handling and transportation safety. Investigate incidents or accidents involving freight or fleet vehicles; prepare detailed report writing to document findings and recommend corrective actions. Work along with our insurance company handling any/all claims, reports, documents for the incidents or accidents. Manage documentation related to transportation safety policies, incident reports, compliance records, and risk management strategies. Handle driver complaints, safety concerns, driver retention. Ensure compliance with various authorities Maintain the company's safety rating Perform various other tasks as they occur Experience Proven experience in transportation safety management within logistics or supply chain environments Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, FDA regulations related to transportation of regulated products, and industry-specific safety standards Experience with freight operations, fleet management systems, and risk mitigation strategies in a fast-paced environment Skilled in report writing, regulatory reporting, and compliance documentation Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMW) and logistics software tools used for tracking freight movements and safety compliance Excellent communication skills with the ability to train teams on safety protocols effectively Demonstrated ability to analyze data for risk assessment purposes and develop strategic safety initiatives Join us as a Transportation Safety Coordinator to lead our efforts in creating a safer transportation environment while ensuring our logistics operations remain compliant, efficient, and resilient.
