Job Description

About the job Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Distribution Associate is a part of the Warehouse team responsible for picking, packing, and shipping orders to customers. Accuracy and efficiency in all three functions is essential to the success of the department. In this role, you will be responsible for the following: Accurately and efficiently pick items from warehouse inventory as provided by the picking ticket. Ensure that the item picked is from the same location and bin indicated on the order picking ticket. Check pricked orders for accuracy during packing process. Package orders in appropriate size box and packing materials to ensure safe delivery of product to destination. Accurately ship orders using FedEx/UPS/LTL freight carriers. Occasional forklift operation. As-needed loading of outbound freight. Maintain a clean work area and assist with overall warehouse housekeeping and maintenance. Set yourself apart High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; one to three years of related experience or combination for education and experience. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions (e.g., hot, cold, dusty environments). Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Ability to obtain forklift certification if needed. FedEx Shipping software (intermediate) skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Demonstrates flexibility, manages changes effectively, and reliably meets commitments and deadlines.
