Production Planner Huntsman is seeking a Production Planner supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in McIntosh, AL. This position will report to the Site Supply Chain Manager. Job Scope The production planner maintains production schedules to optimize inventory levels that meet customer requirements and minimize inventory carrying costs, in accordance with plans generated through the IBP Demand/Supply Planning processes. This role works closely with operations management to ensure adherence to plan and coordinate changes as needed, balancing demand requirements with production capabilities. In summary, as the Production Planner, you will: Material Planning & Forecasting Inventory Management at Batch Level Production & Cross Functional Support Maintains master data in SAP and support launch of New Products. Respond to change in the plan in a timely manner with the ability to quantify the impact of these changes to the Key stakeholders. Own and report on key KPIs, to include OTIF, DIO, SLOB, etc. Provide input to IBP process in developing inventory strategies on existing and new products. Support internal and external audits, including SOX audits Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience. Skills and knowledge Excellent proactive communicator Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills Knowledge of inventory managementSAP / ERP
software process knowledge Knowledge in SIOP and IBP processes Must be proficient in MS Office software specifically Excel and PowerPoint Experience with Power BI and BI Launch pad a plus Customer Focus Strong Communication Skills Decision Making Planning Skills Collaborator Flexibility Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledge in SAP or related ERP planning system APICS Certification is a plus Working Environment This position may require involvement with materials regulated under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Department of Transportation (DOT). This involvement will require an understanding of applicable rules and procedures. A combination of training methods, Computer-Based Training, Classroom, and/or On-the-job training, will be provided prior to any such involvement.
