Logistics Support Specialist needed for our client in the manufacturing industry. This position is an ongoing temp opportunity with the potential to become a permanent employee based on performance and business needs. The Logistics Support Specialist will perform the following duties: Transportation & Logistics Support Coordinate and track customer orders through warehouses to ensure accurate processing and timely delivery. Serve as the primary transportation support contact by locating shipments, providing status updates, and resolving delivery issues. Manage transportation exceptions including missed pickups, late deliveries, BOL changes, reconsignments, and returns. Collaborate with carriers, drivers, and warehouse personnel to resolve routing, scheduling, and fulfillment concerns. Prepare, update, and maintain transportation documentation including freight records, shipment details, and seal numbers. Inventory & Order Management Maintain accurate finished goods inventory records and support replenishment processes. Communicate inventory availability, shortages, and delivery timelines with internal departments including planning, procurement, manufacturing, and customer service. Monitor inventory activity and report discrepancies to management. Assist with inventory tracking and warehouse management system updates to ensure accurate data integrity. Warehouse & Operational Support Support warehouse and logistics operations to maintain workflow efficiency and customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, DOT standards, and workplace safety procedures. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to optimize shipping, transportation, and inventory processes. Perform additional warehouse, transportation, and logistics-related duties as needed to support operational demands.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in distribution, inventory, logistics, or warehouse operations within a manufacturing or related environment. Experience operating and managing warehouse management systems (WMS). Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. #AP123
